DPS Wermsdorf Renews PSO Certification
This is the fourth time that the Sächsisches Institut für die Druckindustrie (SID) has been able to certify DPS's guideline-compliant operation with a PSO certificate. After the certificate presentation on March 7, 2025, the DPS representatives were able to get to know the institute better with a tour of the facility.
DPS combines many trades under one roof. With graphic design, printing, post-press, packaging, lettershop and distribution, it offers a comprehensive service, especially - but not only - for collector's products.
In addition to the MAN Roland 500 5-color sheet-fed offset press involved in the certification process, DPS operates a MAN Roland PRZ 00 2-color sheet-fed offset press, a Winkler and Dünnebier 224 for 4-color printing on envelopes, various Xerox digital printing systems, three special pad printing machines and five Heidelberg platen presses for letterpress printing.
Deutscher Philatelie Service GmbH has around 90 employees. The most important client is Deutsche Post AG, which demands standardized procedures, which have been proven with the repeated recertification according to ISO 12647-2. The PSO certification is additionally used by DPS as an instrument of self-monitoring.
