In a report broadcast on 17 September 2024, the MDR TV magazine ‘Umschau’ shed light on the difficult situation facing printing companies in Eastern Germany. As part of the programme, MDR filmed at printing companies in Gotha and Dresden as well as at the Sächsisches Institut für die Druckindustrie in Leipzig and interviewed its Managing Director Dr.-Ing. Thomas Kaulitz.
