SIG Science Talk – All-Around Health
"Health is the greatest wealth" is an old folk saying that is becoming increasingly topical. Nowadays, it is not only the fight against viruses and bacteria that plays a major role, but also the banishment of harmful chemicals from, for example, packaging, clothing and children's toys.
On April 25, 2023, from 10 - 11 a.m., at the 9th SIG Science Talk on the topic of "All-Around Health", you will learn how scientists from Saxony contribute to protecting health with their research projects.
Researchers from the Institut für Luft- und Kältetechnik Dresden, the Sächsisches Textilforschungsinstitut in Chemnitz and the Papiertechnische Stiftung in Heidenau will report and discuss on the topic of "All-Around Health". We invite you to find out about Saxony's industrial research activities on occupational health and to enter into a dialog with our speakers.
Speakers:
Max Schneider (PTS): „Health: Safe Food through Packaging "
Nadine Liebig: (STFI): „Children's Shoe Insole Growing With Them.“
Ralf Heidenreich (ILK): „Cleaner Air by 2030 - Opportunities and Challenges for Health from the Revision of the EU Air Quality Directives“

About the Sächsische Industrieforschungsgemeinschaft e. V. (SIG):
The Sächsische Industrieforschungsgemeinschaft e.V. (SIG) speaks with one voice for Saxony's non-profit external industrial research institutions. SIG was founded in Dresden in 2014 to pool their efforts with one another in Saxony. It currently has 18 members. With its wide-ranging research spectrum, the research association strengthens transfer-oriented, market-preparing research in Saxony in the interest of Saxony's small and medium-sized enterprises. On the one hand, the focus is on Saxony's future-oriented industries such as materials, technology and processing development, and on the other hand, it is always at the forefront of key issues facing society, such as resource efficiency and environmental sustainability.
